The Legendary Career Of Barbra Streisand

In 1963, Barbara Streisand released her first album, which was fittingly titled ‘The Barbra Streisand Album,’ for which she received two Grammy Awards. At that time, she was the youngest artist to have ever received the Album of the Year award. As Barbra made her motion picture debut in 1968, her attempt paid off with an Academy Award for Best Actress, which would be the first of two Oscars for this outstanding performer.

The self-proclaimed “actress who sings,” Barbra Streisand has repeatedly found herself at the top of the record charts and the box office. Her music success is marked with albums that have been certified as both gold and platinum. Her film roles have earned her undeniable success at the Academy Awards but, through it all, Barbra Streisand has remained dedicated to the causes that mean so much to her.

The Streisand Foundation, which is headquartered in Santa Monica, California, contributes to an array of causes every year. Among them, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund, the Institute for America’s Future, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, the Center for Public Integrity and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Since it’s inception in 1986, The Streisand Foundation has provided grants totaling nearly 15 million dollars to national organizations dedicated to bettering a number of important issues. In 1993, The Streisand Foundation noted that it would prioritize projects that were geared toward the economically disadvantaged youth in Los Angeles, California.

Paris Hilton The Modern Day Aphrodite

The Greek Goddess Aphrodite Festival is called the Aphrodisiac, which was celebrated all over Greece especially in Athens and Corinth. Christina Onassis was the heiress of Aristotle Onassis the Greek shipping billionaire. We are talking real money here. Christina was Aristotle’s only living child, a real heiress, like Jennifer Gates, 9, and Phoebe Gates, 3, the two daughters of the world’s richest man, send me the Bill Gates, at $51 billion dollars and counting. Bill and Melinda French of Dallas Texas have given so much money to charity that they have completely eradicated poverty in Africa. Paris Hilton, if she is lucky enough to make it into her grandfather’s will will be lucky to inherit one million dollars. The One with the money, Paris’ great grandfather Conrad Hilton, (whose son Nicky was the first husband of Elizabeth Taylor), left the grand total of nothing to his 4 children. He married his third wife at 87 and then left his entire fortune to the Catholic Church. Paris’ grandfather Barron Hilton went to court to contest the will and he won, becoming the first person ever to defeat the Vatican in court, walking away with a few hundred million. He has 8 kids. They have kids. Paris’ slice of the pie could be $200,000, walking around money for the Sultan of Brunei, whose oil fields America is now spending its blood to protect. That is hot – not.

Being an heiress is normally a mirage, as Christina Onassis can testify to. Have you ever noticed how many pop icons cash in on Jesus’ story right in their names? It’s like people’s minds are like search engines responding either positively or negatively to certain keywords like Paris Hilton. Madonna, the Virgin Mary, Christ Ina Aguilera, Britney Spears, I have a pain in my side, said Jesus. Is that a spear in my ribcage or are you just happy to see me? Jesus Christ was a Jewish Rabbi painted by the Greek New Testament writers with the Godlike qualities of the Greek Goddess Eurynome and Bellerophon and his flying horse Pegasus and several other Greek deities. You can read all about it at The Temple of Love. 20 million Christian and Jewish children lost their lives in WW2 aka The War Against the Jews because according to stories which God of Mount Sinai aka Jesus aka Allah aka Elohim Himself endlessly calls man made legends and fairy tales right in the Holy Bibles, the Jewish people killed this half real half fictitious character 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem. Humans have a problem separating fact from fiction. At least Paris Hilton is a real person. I’ve seen her. I’ve touched her. I’ve kissed her. Her lips are as candy. Her legs are as ladders.

Sex sells. Paris Hilton was a nobody, an extra in a series of B movies until the videotape of her coiting Rick Salomon in “1 Night in Paris” showed up on the internet last year at the same time that The Simple Life debuted. People are fascinated by infamy. Did you know that the male cat’s penis has spines which point backwards? Upon withdrawal of the penis the spikes rake the walls of the female’s vagina. The female needs this stimulation for ovulation to begin. Paris Hilton, outraged over the release of the video, raked in $400,000 plus a percentage of the profits of the film which shot her to super stardom. Without that video Paris Hilton is serving cocktails at Studio 54 today instead of dancing on the bar topless with the world’s media murdering each other for a snapshot of Paris Hilton half nude.

Paris Whitney Hilton was named after Whitney Houston because her name wasn’t famous enough. During the Aphrodite Festival, the Aphrodisiac, in Corinth Greece, the men had intercourse with the Priestesses of Aphrodite. This was considered a method of worshipping Aphrodite. What did you get for Christmas? In the Holy Temple in Jerusalem the Priests lured the people in with The Temple Prostitutes who lived in the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. King Solomon who built the Holy Temple had 900 wives, concubines and mistresses. Compared to him Jesus was a mere piker with his Mary Magdalene and a few of her girlfriends. Do you hear what I’m saying girlfriend? At least Paris Hilton is a real person.

Aphrodite was born as an 18 year old Paris Hilton in the Sea off of Cyprus after Cronus cut off Uranus’ genitals and the elder God’s blood and semen dropped on the Sea where they began to foam. Aphrodite rose out of the foam in her 18 year old birthday suit. When did people become so prudish? Going wild over 1 Night in Paris? 4,000 years ago mating with hookers in the Temple was normal. In 1879 William-Adolphe Bouguereau painted the Birth of Venus, (Venus was Aphrodite’s Roman name), which showed the full face on nude 18 year old Aphrodite being born rising from the sea foam. How did Hugh Hefner get to be called risqu

Like lyrics, there are “dialogs” which are written to appease mass. If you are watching movie in theater, don’t’ surprise by people throwing “coin” at screen when their beloved star delivers dialog like “Kute, Tera Khun Pi Jayuga”, meaning, “Bloody Dog!, I’ll suck blood out of you”.

Aspiring stars comes from all over India to try their luck and become Bollywood’s biggest Celebrities. Some of them are former miss world, Aishwarya Rai, former bus conductor Rajni and former cook Akshay Kumar and Shah Runk Khan. Bollywood loves their star and gossip.

Bond Fans Not Happy With Craig

A statement on the site said that “EON Productions angered fans around the world when they fired Pierce Brosnan at the height of his popularity as Bond. To add insult to injury, EON cast a short, blond, odd-looking Daniel Craig in the role of Bond.”

The site goes on to ask, “How can a short, blond actor with the rough face of a professional boxer and a penchant for playing killers, cranks, cads, and gigolos pull off the role of a tall, dark, handsome and suave secret agent?”

The angry group of Bond fans have threatened to boycott “Casino Royale” and any other Bond films that Craig will star in.

Though Craig may have a wounded pride from all of these happenings, he does have a big supporter in his predecessor, Pierce Brosnan.

“I think Daniel is a very fine actor. These are rocky waters, and they’re going to get him one way or another, but I think he will have the last laugh at the end of it,” Brosnan said.

Craig has had roles in “Munich” and “The Jacket.” He accepted the role of Bond last October, and filming for the movie began last month in Prague. Last week the producers of the film cast French actress Eva Green as Bond girl Vesper Lynd and Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen as the villain le Chiffre.

Surveillance And Flames Bb7 House Reflects The Intensity Of This Years Allstar Competition

In this years CBS Big Brother 7, not only will Big Brother be watching over the houseguests, but viewers are also granted ruling power over the house as they choose their 6 favorite previous houseguests to compete in the “All-Stars” series. I wonder if this is what Orwell had in mind? Just like propaganda was used to control the population in Orwell’s book, propaganda for houseguests will be coming forth at all angles- people reflecting upon houseguests previous moves in Big Brother forums all over the net, and fans judging them on their past performances by watching past clips, commercials and their promotional videos…. Propaganda for Big Brother Houseguests will be everywhere on t-shirts, flyers, forums, TV…. there is no telling how extreme fans will go… Who will you vote for?

The new Big Brother House will leave nothing to the imagination of the viewer. Surveillance will exist in every corner of the house, along with memorabilia from past shows. The cost of the house… $350,000… with several intense features. The living room is decked out in bright bold colors such as red and orange and a 16 foot tall wall of neon flames will be hard to miss. The wall is said to either “make you want to drink a cocktail or kill somebody, or both”… a perfect melody of what should reflect the mood of this game- Good versus Evil… These veterans better be careful, as this game in this environment is obviously going to be cut throat and HOT HOT HOT! The kitchen continues the theme of flames but also adds a jail feeling with a solid brick kitchen floor. No wonder houseguests in other countries have gone to psychiatric wards after the show… the intensity of this environment should really turn up the heat of emotions, conflicts, and twists. The last feature of the house is several cases full of memorabilia from past seasons- most likely these items will also stir up some good and bad memories.

The house is monitored by cameras in every room- there is nothing you can’t do without being watched- Orwell’s symbolism becomes reality- everyone being watched 24/7. Make sure you become part of Big Brother and get access to live video feeds straight from the house.

Jules Obtains The Jewels

Jules hosting the “Wild On” series was an invaluable link to her current endeavors. She currently cohosts E! News Daily with Steve Kmetko, which she initially and ultimately wanted to do. Along with E! News Daily, she hosts her own show, “Revealed.” Will ANY of our link positions (or stepping stone) positions likely to be as exciting, glamorous or as famous as the E! “Wild On” show? Certainly not! But the point is that Jules was initially reluctant to host “Wild On.” How many positions have we turned down because we’ve been initially reluctant to take a job that we KNOW will lead to a career? As a former fast food manager, I KNEW that I was grossly underpaid, and the stress level for what little I was paid was robbery. I KNEW that I could always say that I had management experience whenever I did a resume or filled out an employment application.

How many of you have that feeling of “what’s the use?” when you were wishing that you could be doing something better? You CAN do something better! Yes. It DOES take an investment in time. There are so MANY companies that need talents YOU have to offer. Everyone has some talent that is valuable to an organization. There are many great websites that offer skills assessment testing. The tests are invaluable for that kind of determination that asks what kind of a career you are suited for. Too many of us settle because I have been one who has settled in the past. I am taking steps to attain my dream career. What you do with YOUR talent is up to you.

Big Brother 7 Grace Is Evicted

It was such a no-contest that host Davina McCall didn’t even bother with her usual customary pause and instead immediately announced that Grace was evicted.

Both Grace and Nikki were put up for eviction by newcomer Suzie Verrico as the model was the only contestant able to nominate during week four. Grace had take offence to being nominated by Suzie and threw a glass of water over her before she left the house.

With one final hug for Mikey, Grace left the house to a chorus of boos from the eviction night crowd but took it on the chin, laughing and even encouraging the pantomime-esque booing.

When later asked why she performed such a childish act she replied: “Sorry guys, I just couldn’t help myself. She was just sat there like Lady Muck”.

Grace had been favourite to leave all week and had been odds-on well before her nomination was confirmed. One of the reasons she was trading so low was due to the Big Brother twist that only Suzie would be eligible to nominate and she had made her dislike of Grace known publicly before she entered the house.

Grace was as short as 1/2 on Friday 9 June following the chants of “Get Grace Out!” heard clearly during Sam’s eviction, although she had risen to as large as 5/6 by the morning of Monday 11.

Big Brother even gave Grace a chance to earn immunity from nominations when a task was set early in the week. The housemates had to stand still on a podium for as long as possible, with a “mystery prize” awaiting the last person standing. During the task, Grace’s price had reached 2/1 to be evicted fourth as she appeared determined to see the task through.

After nine hours, Glyn and Mikey gave up, leaving Lisa and Grace to draw straws to determine the winner as boredom set in. Lisa drew the longest straw and was rewarded with a prize of being immune from nominations. Grace’s failure to win the immunity saw her price plummet to 1/2 even though nominations were yet to be announced.

When the nominations were announced on Tuesday 13 June, Grace was a short as 1.05 on the betting exchanges, then 1.03 and even as low as 1.02 by Wednesday in what appeared to be a certain eviction. Nikki was available at 33/1 and even 50/1 by comparison.

The bookmakers were also not keen on opening a “How much percentage of the vote will Grace receive” market as at least 85% also looked likely and could even beat the record 86% two-way vote record held by Stuart from Big Brother II and Vanessa from Big Brother V.

A Ball That Never Ends: Why We Still Love Lucy

Sixty years after it last aired, 'I Love Lucy' is still going strong with viewers of
all ages. As we commemorate her birthday on August 6, here are a few things we’ll
always love about Lucille Ball.

Records show that Lucille Ball was born on Aug. 6, 1911, and died on April 26, 1989, at age 77. But her fans know otherwise. The “Lucy” of I Love Lucy, the classic sitcom that ran from 1951 to 1957 and all but invented one of TV’s most durable forms, has never left us. There she is, daily on the Hallmark Channel; there she is again, streaming on Amazon, Hulu, and CBS.com, the Internet offshoot of her original network; and there she is some more, available in “ultimate” packages of crystalline high-definition Blu-rays. She’s so everywhere that Gillian Anderson, as the goddess “Media,” appeared as Lucy in the first of her many guises on Starz’s fantasy series American GodsWho Was Lucille Ball? asks one of the newest entries in the popular series of kid’s books. If your kids ask, give them several reasons why she’ll never be forgotten.

She Was Funny…

Mention “Vitameatavegamin” to someone you know and chances are they’ll get the reference to one of the show’s more famous episodes, “Lucy Does a TV Commercial” (1952). “Candy Factory,” from the same year’s “Job Switching” episode, is another of Lucy’s greatest hits, all carefully scripted, never ad-libbed. She was meticulous about her comedy.

…But She Was More Than Funny

Lucy headlined I Love LucyThe Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour (1957-1960), The Lucy Show (1962-1968), Here’s Lucy (1968-1974), and Life with Lucy (1986). Lucille Ball, however, had a more dramatic pedigree at the movies, appearing with Katharine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers in the Broadway adaptation Stage Door (1937), the jungle adventure Five Came Back(1939), and as a selfish, mean-spirited nightclub singer tormenting lovelorn busboy Henry Fonda (a former boyfriend of hers) in her favorite big screen credit, The Big Street (1942). Stuck as the “Queen of the Bs” (B-movies), she and husband Desi Arnaz turned to TV, and, at age 40, she found the enduring fame that had eluded her. Returning to her roots, she played it straight as a homeless person in her last TV movie, 1985’s Stone Pillow.

Ball was the first woman to head a production company, Desilu, and after her 20-year marriage to Arnaz ended in 1960 she bought him out and continued to run it until 1967, when she sold her shares to Gulf+Western and Paramount Studios. The sale netted her $17 million. Desilu’s hits included Star TrekMission: Impossible, and The Untouchables. (One notable talent she spotted on the job was the late Robert Osborne, an aspiring actor in the early 1960s. He said she told him that he’d never be happy as a performer and encouraged him to write, and eventually he merged the two talents as Turner Classic Movies’ avuncular host.)

She Pushed the Envelope

Pregnant with their second child, Desi Arnaz, Jr., in 1952, she and Arnaz used their clout to make their “expecting,” as it was called, a plotline. CBS was skittish about her delicate condition, but her real-life pregnancy, depicted over seven episodes, was a smash with viewers. “Lucy is Enceinte” (the word “pregnant” was a no-no, so the French word was used) launched the groundbreaking arc, and an audience of 44 million tuned it to watch the finale, “Lucy Goes to the Hospital.”

She Doesn’t Scare Easily

A 400 lb.-bronze statue of Ball unveiled in her hometown of Celoron, NY, in 2009 startled the public. It also upset its artist, Dave Poulin, who as controversy mounted over the years admitted to The Hollywood Reporterthat his well-intentioned likeness was “by far my most unsettling sculpture, not befitting of Lucy’s beauty or my ability as a sculptor.” By 2015 it was clear that the gargoyle dubbed “Scary Lucy” by the press had to go, and on Ball’s 105th birthday last year another sculptor, Carolyn Palmer, replaced it with her more cheerful handiwork, which she called “New Lucy.” (But “Scary Lucy,” who has her own fan club, remains in the same park, more discreetly displayed.)

She Was Quotable

“I’m not funny. What I am is brave.”

“One of the things I learned the hard way is that it doesn’t pay to get discouraged. Keeping busy and making optimism a way of life can restore your faith in yourself.”

“The secret of staying young is to live honestly, eat slowly, and lie about your age.”

She Keeps on Giving

The National Comedy Center’s long-running Lucille Ball Comedy Festival is being held July 31-August 6, Ball’s birthday, in her native Jamestown, NY. Guests will include Jim Gaffigan, Robert Klein, and Lisa Lampanelli. Last year, the center’s Lucy-Desi Museum Board director, Cindy Aronson, explained her appeal. “I like what Lucie Arnaz said and I’m paraphrasing this but she said ‘my mom made a tonic that never expires. You can drink of it and always feel better.’”
